Before we begin any new venture we need to make sure that we have the right tools to assure our future success. I recognize that the most important thing we need to address before we begin is our thoughts. Our thoughts and the way that we react to situations, if unchanged, will continue to set you up for failure.
In the past the things that motivated you to create change may have been the next event in your life, the latest drama or trauma or you had a burst of inspiration. Without the right tools in place though, success was always just out of your reach. Creating a Positive Mindset
According to scientists, your mind processes about 60,000 thoughts a day and 95% of these thoughts are what you thought about yesterday. Since your mind controls everything you do, it makes sense that your thoughts have a massive impact on your actions. It is also true that your mind acts like a magnet (often referred to as the Universal Law of Attraction), attracting to you more of what you are thinking about. This means you really can ‘think’ yourself into success or failure!
Creating a positive mindset is therefore the first step in creating long-term success in any area of your life, including your health, fitness and well-being
In order to create a positive mindset, you first need to become aware of your thoughts. With 60,000 thoughts a day roaming through your mind the trick is to make sure that your thoughts remain positive.
By staying ‘tuned in” to your thinking throughout the day, you can catch yourself out if you start to think negative or limiting thoughts. At that point, simply acknowledge what you are thinking and change it to a more positive or empowering thought.
Changing your thoughts from negative to positive can have a dramatic impact on your life, your confidence and your self-esteem. Many people who first start thinking positive thoughts about themselves find it difficult and uncomfortable as they have become so accustomed to thinking of themselves and/or the world in a negative way.

Positive affirmations will help you stay focused on your goals whilst becoming more conscious about your choice of words when talking to other people as well as yourself, via your internal dialogue. The more you practice using positive words and sentences, the more natural it will become.
For positive affirmations to work they need to be in the present tense: ‘I am’ rather than ‘I will be’, or ‘I make’ rather than ‘I will make’. Although these statements may not feel real at first, by saying your positive affirmation positively and with conviction, your brain will recognize that there is a gap between what you are saying and what you are feeling or doing and will look for ways to close that gap. New pathways are developed and new beliefs and patterns are formed.

Get Moving/Gentle Yoga
Although not necessary for our programs to be successful, starting a routine including some form of gentle movement can be difficult. So as part of our program you will be given access to our Yoga and home exercise programs which consist of short, effective body movement routines. These will consist of circuit type workouts that can be done anywhere – home, outdoors or at the gym and Yoga for those that prefer a gentle body strengthening movement. This type of exercise has been shown to be the most effective way to enhance fitness and strength.
You will be able to login to your Members area and be inspired with a selection of routines that you can do in between your personalized sessions. The exercise is general in nature and can be performed at your own level, but make sure you get advice from your doctor if you have any health issues, are pregnant or have any injuries.
